The Prince of Wales helped serve Christmas lunches at a London shelter for the homeless that he visited 30 years ago as a child with his mother, the late Lady Di, reports Efe.

As seen in a video posted on the Prince of Wales' X account, William, the heir to the British throne, helped serve Christmas menus on Thursday at the homeless shelter "The Passage."

That place, as he has mentioned on several occasions, had a profound impact on him as a child and allowed him to see "beyond the palace walls."

As shown in the footage, William put on one of the shelter's aprons to join the rest of the volunteers and serve the Christmas dishes while chatting with the diners.

The first time the prince visited that organization was over 30 years ago with his mother, Princess Diana, who was very involved in social causes.

The images show William embracing Claudette Hawkis, the kitchen manager at the center, whom he congratulates on her birthday.

He also engages in conversation with another person at the shelter who tells him that they are getting married.

The Prince of Wales has mentioned on some occasions how the visits he made with his mother to those centers to help the homeless impacted him and inspire his work.
