Once the 30-hour truce decreed by Vladimir Putin for Easter ended, Russia has resumed launching missiles and drones against Ukraine, where anti-aircraft sirens began to sound after midnight.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported the arrival of 96 drones that caused damage in the regions of Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Cherkasy: 42 attack drones were shot down, and 47 replicas fell without consequences.

Russia also launched an Onix anti-ship cruise missile at the Kherson region and two Kh-31P missiles at the Mykolaiv region.

Furthermore, authorities in Kherson reported that three people died in the region as a result of the Russian attacks, but did not specify whether it was before or after the truce expired.

Despite both Kyiv and Moscow accusing each other of thousands of ceasefire-violating attacks, Volodymyr Zelensky had proposed extending the aerial attack pause for another 30 days. An offer that did not receive a response from the Russian president.

Russia launches 3 missiles and nearly 100 drones against Ukraine

The Ukrainian Air Force specified that the Russian army launched three missiles and 96 drones against Ukrainian territory early this morning, after the thirty-hour truce declared by the Kremlin expired at midnight. Russia sent an Onix anti-ship cruise missile against the southern region of Kherson, fired from the occupied Crimea peninsula in the Black Sea. Additionally, they launched two Kh-31P missiles against the Mykolaiv region, this time from the air. During the night, 96 drones, including Shahed attack drones and replicas used by Kremlin forces to confuse enemy defenses, also arrived in Ukrainian territory. 42 attack drones were shot down by Ukrainian defenses, and 47 replicas fell without causing consequences. The attack resulted in material damage in the regions of Kharkiv (northeast), Dnipropetrovsk, and Cherkasy (center).
