Bloodless bullfights are now a reality in Mexico City. This Tuesday, the regulation of bloodless and non-violent bullfights was being debated in the Legislative Assembly of the Mexican capital. A proposal that was initially approved last Friday and finally approved this Tuesday, as reported by Mundotoro.com. The Mexican capital has focused its political battle on bullfighting instead of the country's current situation: deaths, murders, crime, poverty...

Deputy Pedro Haces (son) has been appointed as the deputy who will lead the dialogue with bullfighting representatives for the development of the new bullfighting regulations in Mexico City, which will come into effect once completed.

With 61 votes in favor, one against, and zero abstentions, the Congress of Mexico City approved in general the prohibition of public, private, and itinerant shows involving animals, including bloodless bullfights. "This is the beginning of the end of bullfighting in CDMX," stated the parliamentary coordinator of the Green Party, Jesus Sesma, explaining his vote in favor.

During his speech, Deputy Victor Romo pointed out that the bloodless bullfighting initiative "achieves a fair balance" between the interests of bullfighting supporters and animal rights activists. 'It does not seek the disappearance of bullfighting, but its evolution. This reform proposes the transformation of Plaza Mexico into a space where we respect sentient beings," he stated.
