Head-on clash between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The tension of the past week, since the U.S. decided to end three years of isolation from Vladimir Putin and extend a hand to Moscow to start "peace" bilateral talks without the opinion and participation of Kiev, has erupted in the last twelve hours. With an increasingly harsh tone, mutual reproaches, and increasingly strong accusations: "Zelenskyy refuses to hold elections, he is very low in Ukrainian polls, and the only thing he was good at was manipulating Biden. A dictator without elections, he better move fast or he won't have any country left," Trump warned in his fiercest and most direct attack to date. "I love Ukraine but he has done a terrible job, his country is in ruins and MILLIONS have died unnecessarily."

On Tuesday night, before the media, the American President once again lashed out against Zelenskyy, with whom he has always maintained a cold, distant, and tense relationship, accusing him not only of not having known or wanted to avoid the war but of being responsible for it, of having started it, buying into Putin's narrative, rhetoric, language, which says that Kiev did the same as Poland in 1939, leaving no choice but an invasion, starting wars themselves. In explosive statements, Trump directly attacked the man who has led the resistance to the invasion, inventing, for example, that his popularity level was at 4% and once again reproaching him for martial law and not holding elections. Point by point, the Russian argument.

Zelenskyy, increasingly upset by the U.S. turn, the imposition of talks with Russia, being left out of meetings like the one held in Saudi Arabia two days ago, but also by the extortion attempts of the new administration, pressuring Kiev to give the U.S. 50% of its rare earth materials not in exchange for more protection and assistance, but for what has already been provided, has had enough. This Wednesday morning, he stated that "President Trump, whom we respect greatly as a leader of the American people, unfortunately lives in this space of misinformation."

In a press conference, he stated that this misinformation "comes from Russia". Zelenskyy called Russian leaders "pathological liars" and called for pressure on them to achieve peace. He did so by condemning the latest Russian attack on Ukrainian civil energy infrastructure, which is a perfect example. In the meeting this week with the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and the U.S. National Security Advisor, the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, denied that his country attacked Ukrainian electrical infrastructure. This was while his own ministry boasted about it in public statements.

But Trump does not allow any criticism. He demands absolute compliance, submission, adoration. And that's why, when he saw Zelenskyy's words, he lashed out against him with great severity on his social network. "Think about it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenski convinced the United States of America to spend 350 billion dollars to enter a war that couldn't be won, that never had to start, but a war that he, without the U.S. and "TRUMP," will never be able to resolve. The United States has spent 200 billion dollars more than Europe, and Europe's money is guaranteed, while the United States will not receive anything in return. Why Sleepy Joe Biden didn't demand Equalization, as this war is much more important for Europe than for us? We have a great and beautiful ocean as a separation," he said in the first part of the message.

The second part, the personal one, seeks to harm and draw a line that once crossed is almost impossible to heal. "In addition to this, Zelenskyy admits that half of the money we send him is lost. He refuses to hold elections, he is very low in Ukrainian polls, and the only thing he was good at was manipulating Biden. A dictator without elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he won't have any country left," he warned.

In the last part of his attack, the President blamed the Ukrainian leader for the deaths of millions of people simply due to mismanagement. "We are successfully negotiating the end of the war with Russia, something that everyone agrees only "TRUMP" and the Trump administration can do. Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring peace, and Zelenski probably wants to keep the "gravy train" [an American expression about how to work little and earn a lot by deceiving] going. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his country is in ruins, and MILLIONS have died unnecessarily. And so it continues," he concluded.
