As 1,079 days of war in Ukraine are reached, Kiev continues to attack Russian strategic infrastructures. This morning, a missile was launched against an aerodrome from where the Russian Army regularly launches drones into Ukrainian territory.
"In the area of the Primorsko-Ajtarsk aerodrome, where a missile fell, there is a Shahed drone warehouse," confirmed the head of the Disinformation Center of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia has reported that its anti-aircraft defenses have shot down 28 Ukrainian drones over three of its regions and the Sea of Azov this morning.
On the other hand, a Russian missile attack on a residential building under construction in Odesa has killed one man and seriously injured another.
Russian Blogger Arrested for Collaborating with Ukraine
Russian blogger Yevgeny Anisimov was arrested on Thursday in the city of Yekaterinburg on charges of disseminating extremist material and collaborating with Ukraine in the information war during its incursion into Kursk, Russian authorities reported.
"Anisimov allegedly is the administrator of a Telegram channel that is part of the list of Ukraine's psycho-information operations centers," security sources quoted by the official Russian news agency TASS said.
The detainee allegedly participated in a campaign to create "distrust in the authorities of the Kursk region" among the population, part of which has been occupied by Ukrainian forces since last August.
Anisimov was arrested on suspicion of disseminating extremist material, with evidence for his criminal prosecution being insults against security officials and natives of Central Asia.
Ukraine Claims to Have Captured Over 900 Russian Soldiers in Kursk
The Ukrainian General Staff announced on Thursday that it has captured 909 Russian soldiers since the start of its operation in the Russian region of Kursk six months ago.
According to Ukraine, one of its objectives was to capture Russian soldiers to exchange them for Ukrainian prisoners of war. "During the operation, Ukrainian forces captured 909 Russian military personnel, significantly replenishing the exchange fund," explained the Ukrainian General Staff in a statement.
"This made it possible to bring home hundreds of Ukrainian defenders who were imprisoned in Russian jails," added the military command.
Three Civilians Die in a Ukrainian Attack in Belgorod
At least three civilians, one of them a minor, died today in an attack carried out by a Ukrainian drone against a car in the border region of Belgorod, local authorities reported.
"According to preliminary data, the drone dropped an explosive device on the car. At the time of the attack, allegedly a man and two women, aged 18 and 14, were traveling in the car," said Viacheslav Gladkov, governor of Belgorod, on his Telegram channel. Gladkov, who highlighted that the attack took place in the town of Logachiovka, added: "They died on the spot."
Kiev Denounces a 'Fake' Spread by Musk
The Ukrainian Council against Disinformation has denounced the falsehood of information shared by Elon Musk in X claiming that Usaid spent US taxpayer money to boost the popularity of Volodymyr Zelensky in the US by organizing trips of celebrities to the country attacked by Russia.
"Musk spreads a lying video in X claiming that Usaid paid for celebrities' trips to Ukraine to increase Zelensky's popularity," wrote Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Disinformation Center of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, on his Telegram account.
The Ukrainian leader stated that the stars allegedly benefiting from the US cooperation agency have denied receiving money from Usaid.
The new administration of President Donald Trump has halted all Usaid funding and could shut down the agency considering it an unnecessary expense aimed at ideological causes.
Ukraine Shoots Down 56 Drones Launched by Russia
Ukrainian air defenses have shot down 56 kamikaze drones launched by Russia against its territory since last night, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force in its report for this Thursday.
Another 18 unmanned aircraft, replicas of the kamikaze drones launched by Russia to confuse enemy defenses, crashed without causing damage.
Russia Shoots Down 28 Ukrainian Drones
Russian anti-aircraft defenses shot down 28 Ukrainian drones last night over three of its regions and the Sea of Azov, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel on Thursday.
According to the military report, most of the unmanned aircraft destroyed last night were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov (13). The other drones were shot down over the southern regions of Rostov (8), Krasnodar (6), and Astrakhan (1).
Rosaviatsia, the Russian federal agency for civil aviation, suspended operations at the Volgograd airport (formerly Stalingrad) last night for several hours, citing the need to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft flights.
Russian Missile Attack Kills One Person in Odesa
A Russian missile attack killed one person last night in the Ukrainian city of Odesa, according to the regional governor. "As a result of a Russian missile attack on an unfinished residential building, a man died, and another is in serious condition in the hospital," Oleg Kiper wrote on his Telegram account.
Kiper explained that both victims were passing by the partially constructed building when the impact occurred.
Also last night, Russia attacked the city of Kharkiv with drones, in northeastern Ukraine, causing damage to a market in the town without causing casualties, according to local authorities.
