On the 1,078th day of the war in Ukraine, British Foreign Minister David Lammy, visiting Kiev, sees Russia currently unwilling to negotiate an end to the war with Ukraine.

Ukraine aims to collaborate with partner countries in post-war projects worth billions of dollars, not only in rare earth mining but also in energy and construction sectors to help rebuild the country.

US President Donald Trump stated that he wanted to gain access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals as a condition to continue US support in the war against Russia.

Lammy believes that Russia is not ready to negotiate peace with Ukraine at this time.

Ukraine seeks allied countries' participation in post-war development

Ukraine aims to collaborate with partner countries in post-war projects worth billions of dollars, not only in rare earth mining but also in energy and construction sectors to help rebuild the country, stated Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

Sybiha responded to President Donald Trump's comments about wanting access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals as a condition to continue US support in the war against Russia.

Ukrainian officials have stated that Russia aims to seize Ukraine's vast natural resources.

Ukraine intends to offer "guarantees of the presence of large companies in Ukraine and the consolidated interests of our closest allies - the United States - in the development of these rare earth deposits and ensuring their protection," the foreign minister noted.

However, cooperation should not be limited to rare earth materials, Sybiha emphasized during a press conference with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
