While the arrival of Donald Trump at the White House has revitalized the idea of negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine, both sides continue to bombard enemy territory.
Volodymyr Zelensky has denounced that Russia used 1,250 aerial bombs, over 750 attack drones, and more than 20 missiles to attack his country last week. "Only determination can stop these terrorists. We are constantly working with our partners to strengthen our defense capabilities and reduce Russia's ability to terrorize Ukraine," he stated on his social media.
The Ukrainian Air Force claims to have shot down 50 out of the 72 drones launched by Russia overnight, with nine of them lost due to electronic warfare. Additionally, authorities in Kherson stated that Moscow bombed a hospital in the region.
Ukraine Confirms Attack on Russian Oil Refinery and Military Command Post in Kursk
The Kiev State Department declared that their forces once again attacked the Ryazan oil refinery, which they describe as "one of the four largest refineries in the Russian Federation," where explosions and fires were reported.
On the other hand, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that their anti-aircraft defenses shot down 15 drones last night in three regions of the country: eight unmanned aircraft were destroyed over the Ryazan region, six in Kursk, and one in Belgorod.
Ukraine has attacked a significant oil refinery in the Russian city of Ryazan with drones and a Russian army command post in Kursk with missiles, as reported by the Ukrainian Army Headquarters.
"The units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the General Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense have once again attacked the facilities of the 'Ryazan Oil Refining Company,' involved in supplying the Russian army," the message reads.
The attacked refinery is one of the four largest in the Russian Federation and produces diesel fuel and TS-1 aviation fuel, emphasized the Ukrainian Army.
