The death of Yahia Sinwar, leader of Hamas, on Thursday during an Israeli military operation in the south of the Gaza Strip, will not mark the end of the war but will serve to "strengthen" the "spirit of resistance" of the Palestinian population, according to a diplomatic source from Iran.

"As long as there is occupation and aggression, resistance will endure, because the martyr remains alive and is a source of inspiration," said the Iranian diplomatic representation to the United Nations in a message on its official X account. "He will become a role model for young people and children who will follow his path towards the liberation of Palestine," the publication highlights.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has announced a "new phase" in the clashes with Israel that will be revealed in the coming days, stating that they are using precision-guided means for the first time in their attacks against Netanyahu's army.

The UNIFIL will remain in Lebanon despite Israeli attacks

A spokesperson for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) stated on Friday that the mission of 10,000 troops will remain in Lebanon despite several direct attacks by Israeli forces in recent days, which were described as deliberate.
