On the 964th day of the war, around 30,415 people, including nearly 8,000 children, have been evacuated from border areas with Ukraine due to bombings and attacks, as stated by the Russian Human Rights Commissioner. The evacuees have been placed in about 1,000 temporary accommodation centers throughout Russia.

More than 1,000 Russian citizens from Kursk, whose whereabouts are unknown, are believed to have been captured by Ukrainian forces.

The OKEAN-2024, involving over 400 ships, 120 aircraft, 7,000 vehicles, and 90,000 personnel according to Russian media, did not occur in the previous two years. However, British Intelligence suggests that Russia has grossly exaggerated these figures, as there are currently only around 300 available ships for participation.
