The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues to escalate. The Shiite militia launched 180 projectiles from Lebanon to Israel on Tuesday, while Israel maintains its aerial and ground offensive in the neighboring country. Meanwhile, the Israeli Army announced the mobilization of the 146th Armored Division in Lebanese territory to carry out "limited, localized, and specific operational activities" in southern Lebanon.

On Wednesday, Hezbollah claimed to have launched an attack against Israeli troops in a border area with Lebanon, a day after Israel claimed to have killed the alleged new leader of the Shiite group, Hashem Safi al Din.

Hezbollah stated in a press release that they bombed Israeli troops with missiles and artillery projectiles as they attempted to advance, achieving direct hits without providing further details. The group claims to have targeted more than 4,200 "enemy targets" both in Israel and southern Lebanon, where a week ago the Israeli Army initiated a series of ground operations that Hezbollah has largely managed to contain to date.

Israel kills a Palestinian in the West Bank

Israeli troops shot and killed a Palestinian in the city of Aqaba in the Tubas governorate, northeast of the occupied West Bank, where nearly 400 Palestinians have died, most during Israeli military raids, so far in 2024, reports Efe.

According to medical sources, the deceased has been identified as Abdul Raouf Rajih Hamed al Masry, 37, who was shot after Israeli special forces surrounded his home in Aqaba during a nighttime raid, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

With his death, around 390 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank so far this year, according to a count by EFE based on Health Ministry data, with 114 deaths in the Tulkarem governorate and 105 in the Jenin governorate, both in the northern West Bank and main hotspots of armed resistance against the Israeli occupation.

Israel claims to have intercepted "two projectiles" on the coastal area from Lebanon

The Israeli army announced on Wednesday that it intercepted "two projectiles" coming from Lebanon shortly after air raid sirens sounded in several towns around Caesarea, south of Haifa, reports Afp.

Alerts were also activated in other northern towns. The army stated on Tuesday that "about 180 projectiles" were launched by the Islamist movement Hezbollah from Lebanon, mainly towards Haifa and the northern part of the country.

Hezbollah claims to have repelled two Israeli infiltration attempts in southern Lebanon

The Islamist movement Hezbollah stated on Wednesday that it repelled two Israeli soldiers' infiltration attempts in southern Lebanon. In two different statements released in the early hours of Wednesday, the pro-Iranian movement indicated that Israeli troops tried to enter border areas of Lebanon, reports Afp.

In the first statement, the movement announced that its fighters had detonated "an explosive device against an Israeli enemy force" and engaged in "combat with it as it tried to infiltrate the border town of Blida" in the southeast.

In the other text, Hezbollah claimed that its fighters had attacked Israeli soldiers "with artillery projectiles" as they tried to advance "towards the border area of Labouneh" in the southwest.
