After 945 days of war in Ukraine, another night of drone launches between the two countries occurred. Russian anti-aircraft defense units destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones, with six over Belgorod and Kursk, and one over Bryansk.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force claimed to have shot down 66 out of 81 drones launched by Russia and lost track of 13. Russia also launched four missiles, including an Iskander missile and two Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles. None were intercepted. The Russian nighttime attack on central Ukrainian region of Poltava damaged the energy infrastructure. Ukraine has lost two-thirds of its energy production capacity and is on the brink ahead of winter.

Joe Biden will speak at the UN General Assembly for the last time as President of the United States, reiterating the call for international support for Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in New York for the 79th session of the UN General Assembly seeking support for his Peace Formula, stated that decisive action by the US could accelerate the end of the Russia-Ukraine war next year.

Biden is expected to hear Zelensky's new peace plan when they meet in Washington on Thursday. An American official stated that the plan likely involves requesting more armament and support for Ukraine's fight.

If Biden's successor is Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump, Ukraine's war remains a key foreign policy issue. The Democratic candidate aligns with Biden's approach, while the Republican shows little enthusiasm for supporting Ukraine's battle against Russian invaders.
