The Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States, Donald Trump, has publicly announced that he has reached an agreement with the television network Fox News to hold his first electoral debate against Kamala Harris on September 4.

This was stated through a message on his platform Truth Social, the social network he created after being banned from Twitter following his encouragement of the attacks on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. There, Trump pointed out that the debate will be on Fox, as he is in a legal dispute with ABC, where it was initially scheduled, and George Slopadopoulos, one of the network's star presenters, which "would create a conflict of interest."

Therefore, he has indicated that his first encounter with Harris will take place at a location to be determined in the state of Pennsylvania and will be moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, Fox's main presenters.

Finally, he has stated that the rules will be similar to those of his last debate with Joe Biden, which led to the U.S. president's withdrawal from the reelection race, although with a new feature, according to the Republican magnate, there will be a live audience this time.

Kamala Harris has not yet confirmed her presence at the debate and is focusing on the convention that her party will hold in Chicago between August 19 and 22, where she will assume her candidacy for the presidency of the United States.
