After several months of waiting and negotiations, Carlos Sainz finally cleared his future in Formula 1. The Madrid-born driver has signed a two-year contract with Williams, a project led by James Vowles where he will share the garage with Alex Albon. The British team, with nine world titles, currently occupies the penultimate position in the Constructors' Championship.

"It is no secret that the market has been exceptionally complex for several reasons and it has taken me some time to announce my decision. However, I have full confidence that Williams is the right place to continue my journey in F1, and I am extremely proud to join such a historic and successful team, where many of my childhood heroes drove in the past and left their mark on our sport," stated Sainz after his new destination was confirmed.
