The Santiago Bernabéu dressed up again to welcome its new number 16. Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa (Brazil, 18 years old) arrived in Chamartín after completing his training at Palmeiras and with high expectations placed on him. The thousands of spectators filling the stands of his new stadium today were a testament to that.

After passing the medical examination with the white club and signing his contract for the next six seasons alongside Florentino Pérez, the Brazilian introduced himself to his new fans. The bright and teary eyes of his family minutes before his entrance were just a small glimpse of the emotion that was about to unfold.

As happened just eleven days ago with Kylian Mbappé, the first to speak was the president. "We welcome one of those players who were born to wear the Real Madrid shirt", said Florentino Pérez, who, accompanied by Pirri, honorary president of Real Madrid, also highlighted the club's legends and all the titles won during this era.

The Brazilian then stepped onto the field, cheered on by the fans, but somewhat shy. Overwhelmed by everything that was happening. He touched the grass, crossed himself, and went straight to the stage, where the 15 European Cups were displayed. "Today marks the beginning of the story with the club of your life", declared the club's president.

It was his turn, and with a big smile, he received applause and ovation from the Bernabéu: "I did not expect all this, so many people...". He couldn't hold back the tears. He broke down. "I have always been a fan of Real Madrid and today I am going to play here. This is crazy," he said, looking at the stands.

To top off his speech, he encouraged everyone to chant that famous cry once again: "3,2,1...¡Hala Madrid!". All that was left was to kiss the badge, and just before posing with his family and feeling more relaxed, the desired moment occurred.

In the press room, Endrick admitted "to be fulfilling a dream" he had since he was a child and expressed his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo: "I came to Madrid because of him." He also thanked God for everything happening in his career.

Regarding the titles he can win with his new club, the Brazilian did not hesitate: "If everything is possible. I hope to help conquer different titles and add more trophies to Real Madrid's history. I will try to win them all."

About the moment he stepped onto the field, the Brazilian highlighted the emotion he experienced: "It was a wonderful, perfect moment. When I entered and saw the whole stadium shouting my name...I am very happy. I hope to score and dedicate it to the fans."
