"We welcome one of those players who were born to wear the Real Madrid shirt", said Florentino Pérez, who, accompanied by Pirri, honorary president of Real Madrid, also highlighted the club's legends and all the titles won during this era.
The Brazilian then stepped onto the field, cheered on by the fans, but somewhat shy. Overwhelmed by everything that was happening. He touched the grass, crossed himself, and went straight to the stage, where the 15 European Cups were displayed. "Today marks the beginning of the story with the club of your life", declared the club's president.
It was his turn, and with a big smile, he received applause and ovation from the Bernabéu: "I did not expect all this, so many people...". He couldn't hold back the tears. He broke down.
