There is no doubt that Kamala Harris has always known how to win the favor of the rich and powerful. It is also not new that Donald Trump, despite his claims of "only hiring the best," tends to miss the mark when seeking support.

So, it is time to remember that Trump contributed to Harris' campaign for the position of Attorney General (equivalent to the Minister of Justice in Spain) of the State of California. His eldest daughter, Ivanka, also donated money to Harris. To make matters worse, the current Democratic presidential candidate says she donated the money Donald Trump gave her to an NGO that works with immigrants from Central America.

If that is indeed the case, Trump must be feeling more regret over the $6,000 he gave to Harris than the $130,000 he paid to Stormy Daniels, which led to the former president's conviction on 34 criminal charges, something unprecedented in U.S. history.

Trump - who at that time was an independent after being a Democrat for almost a decade - gave Harris $5,000 (4,590 euros) for her campaign in September 2011, as recalled now by the Californian newspaper 'Sacramento Bee'. In 2013, he gave her another $1,000 (920 euros), and two years later, Ivanka gave the California Attorney General another $2,000 (1,840 euros) for her reelection in 2014, when rumors were already circulating that Harris - whom Barack Obama had publicly called "the most beautiful Attorney General in the United States" - had ambitions in Washington.

It is unknown what Harris did with Ivanka's money. But as she declared to the 'Sacramento Bee' in 2020, she did not spend Trump's money but donated it to an NGO that works with Central American immigrants.
