Felipe VI, King of Spain, has sent a letter under the Royal Household's coat of arms to Donald Trump expressing his most sincere support, and that of Queen Letizia, regarding the assassination attempt suffered by the former US president during the early hours of this Sunday.

"Shocked by the terrible attack you have suffered during an electoral event in Pennsylvania, I want to convey, alongside the Queen, our solidarity and relief upon learning that your injuries are not serious," wrote Felipe VI under the signature of His Majesty the King of Spain.

The King took the opportunity to show solidarity with the American people. "I also want to express to all the beloved people of the United States of America my strong condemnation of any act of violence, especially when directed against democratic values," pointed out the Spanish head of state.

He also wanted to emphasize the shock of the Queen by saying that Letizia "joins me as well, Mr. President, in wishing you a full recovery, as well as for the injured persons, and in sending our condolences to the family of the deceased person."

As a farewell, he indicated the following: "I take this opportunity to convey to you the testimony of my highest consideration and personal esteem."

The Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, has also expressed his "strong" condemnation of the attack suffered by Donald Trump this Saturday. "I want to express my strongest condemnation of the attack suffered by Donald Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania. Violence and hatred have no place in a democracy," Sánchez stated on Sunday in a post on X.

Sánchez wished a speedy recovery for Trump and the other injured individuals, while also conveying his deepest condolences to the family members of the deceased person.

Sánchez's message adds to that of the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, who in the early hours of this Sunday condemned the attack by blaming the "globalist left" that, in his opinion, encourages this type of violent acts and lamenting the presence of "this left" in the Spanish government.

"Thank God Donald Trump has survived the assassination attempt," Abascal expressed in a post on his X account, urging to "stop the globalist left that is sowing hatred, ruin, and war."

The former US president recounted the episode through his social network, Truth Social, where he thanked "the US Secret Service and all law enforcement for their quick response to the shooting" and expressed his "condolences to the family of the person who died in the demonstration and also to the family of another person who was seriously injured."

The President of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has rejected the attack suffered by the former US president and warned that nurturing hatred towards those who think differently leads to these types of events.

"I advocate for moderation, I regret that there are those who prefer to shoot rather than vote to defend their ideology," the PP leader posted on his X account, where he wished a speedy recovery to Donald Trump.
