What has become of those early teenagers after more than three decades? Currently, Ariana is a renowned painter and graphic designer who retired from acting in 2001 to focus on her art. She creates lithographs and her paintings, usually landscapes and figures, tend to encompass realism and impressionism. One of her works is hanging in Spielberg's office, who from the beginning became one of her biggest supporters.
In October 2005, Richards won the first prize in the National Professional Oil Painting Contest for the painting Lady of the Dahlias. Since she was young, Ariana always showed her fascination for painting, drawing, and sculpture. She returned to the cinema briefly in 2013 for the terrifying Battledogs.
In 2013, she married Mark Bolton, and from their relationship, a daughter was born two years later. The family lives happily away from the unpredictable Hollywood world, although Ariana occasionally attends events related to Jurassic Park. "My experience in Jurassic was very innovative. It was very fun to be part of something that touched culture in such a big way and brings so much joy to people," she confessed to People magazine.
Ariana made her acting debut in one of the episodes of The Golden Girls in 1987 at just 8 years old, and that same year she also did so on the big screen with Powers Boothe. Three years later, she was one of the protagonists of the terrifying Tremors.
As for Joseph Mazzello (41), he continues in the acting world, although he has also tried his luck as a screenwriter and director. Raised on the outskirts of New York, his first job on the big screen was in Presumed Innocent (1990), starring Harrison Ford and Raúl Juliá. At that time, he was about to play Robin Williams' son in Hook (1991), but he was too young for the role. Spielberg did not hire him; however, two years later, he changed the original age of the child in the novel Jurassic Park so that he could portray him in the movie.
Among his other notable successes are The Social Network (2010) and Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), both nominated for Oscars for Best Picture. In the latter, Joseph played John Deacon, the bassist of the legendary band Queen. During the promotion of this film, Joseph confessed that the filming had been very challenging due to his father's illness: "I couldn't have gone through this experience without the support of my castmates. Seeing my father's physical and mental deterioration was sometimes hell. But I would go through this situation again in a heartbeat if I could have him back."
The only information regarding his personal life confirms that he had a relationship until 2015 with actress Arabella Ajar.
