Google has released the Pixel 9a to the market this Wednesday, its range of low-cost phones that come with a battery life of over 30 hours as highlights, in addition to artificial intelligence, which is a must in the launch of new devices.
The phone will be available from 549 euros on March 26th in its 128 GB memory version and will come in a new peony pink color, joining the existing iris, porcelain, and obsidian tones.
In terms of technical specifications, it brings some improvements in its camera such as an ultra-wide 13-megapixel (MP) lens in addition to a 48 MP main camera and a 13 MP front camera.
One of the product's focuses is durability, as in addition to the over 100 hours in extreme battery saving mode of the device, it also offers seven years of guaranteed updates by the manufacturer, improved fast charging, an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, higher than the previous version, and a more impact-resistant screen.
The phone comes with Google's latest chip (Tensor 4), allowing for 30% speed improvements and maintaining a lower RAM compared to the high-end model (8GB compared to 12 GB in the Pixel 9). Another improvement comes in the display where brightness levels have increased (up to 2,700 nits) while keeping the same size (6.3-inch screen) and a refresh rate between 60 and 120 hertz.
In terms of software, the device's main feature is the use of AI, as expected. The 9a incorporates functionalities that have become major attractions for Google, such as Include Me, which allows combining two photos so that the person who took the first one is not left out of the portrait.
Another significant feature is the new AI-powered video editor from the company, which allows for easy audio modifications, or the photo editor, providing great possibilities for adding elements.
Additionally, the company has introduced a new feature on the same Wednesday with the model that allows screen sharing so that Gemini can make comments or suggestions about the elements shown in the camera.
