He's done it again, singer Ed Sheeran surprised his followers last weekend by offering a spontaneous concert on the streets of New Orleans where he premiered an unreleased song titled 'Azizam', reports Efe.

"Playing new music today on the streets of New Orleans with @thesoulrebels thanks to everyone who showed up!" the singer posted on his Instagram profile with a video showing him on the city streets with a microphone in hand and followed by hundreds of people listening to his songs.

The 'Perfect' performer was accompanied for the surprise performance in the city's French Quarter by the band The Soul Rebels.

According to Billboard magazine, Sheeran got out of a black van on Saturday morning, with a portable amplifier and a microphone.

"We're going to play a song here —we're recording some content— and then we'll have a parade, we'll walk and play some songs, in case you want to join us," he told the audience, as reported by Nola.com.

The performance marked the live debut of 'Azizam', which Sheeran revealed will be released in the coming weeks.

"In a couple of weeks, I'll release a new song that no one has heard. It will be played live for the first time. We'll play it once now and then walk, play some songs you know, and I'll play it again," he continued.

According to Billboard, the impromptu concert in New Orleans was just the latest in a series of spontaneous performances by Sheeran.

Earlier last week, he surprised his fans in Nashville with an impromptu performance at Tootsie's bar, where he performed a selection of his greatest hits along with a cover of Britney Spears' "...Baby One More Time."

His love for impromptu performances has been a recurring theme. In February, he attempted a street concert in Bengaluru, India, attracting a large crowd before local authorities intervened, as recalled by the specialized magazine.
