Fans of Lady Gaga already have a date marked on their calendars. The American singer and actress announced that the release of her seventh studio album, titled 'Mayhem' and with which she plans to return to her musical roots, will be on March 7, while on February 2 she will release a new single, as reported by Efe.
"The album began when I faced my fear of returning to the pop music that my early fans loved," she said in a statement issued by Universal Music.
In the same statement, the actress from 'Joker: Folie à Deux' described the creative process of this album as "rebuilding a broken mirror: even if you can't put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and complete in its own way."
The news was first revealed through advertising posters featuring the black and white photo of the singer that appeared in cities like Las Vegas and New York, as reported by media outlets such as Billboard or Variety.
Shortly after, Gaga made the announcement official on social media with a dark video interweaving different photos and recalling the post-punk aesthetic with the name of the anticipated material and the release date.
The project, produced by Gaga, Michael Polansky, Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein, will feature 14 tracks, including the previously released 'Disease' and 'Die With a Smile'.
The third single will be unveiled during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards scheduled for Sunday, February 2, where the singer could add two more Grammys to her collection thanks to the collaboration with Bruno Mars on 'Die with a Smile', nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo.
Before this event, Gaga will join artists like Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and Peso Pluma to perform on January 30 at the FireAid concert benefiting individuals and communities devastated by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.
