Anthony Mackie (New Orleans, 1978) is now the first Captain America in the history of all the captains that the new world has produced with body, figure, pose, and even the ways of a matador; a bullfighter. And we're not saying this, he says it himself right after imitating a gesture that even the great Roca Rey would envy. "I came to Madrid for my birthday in September to take flamenco lessons. I spent a whole week at it with my best friend's mother who happens to have the same birthday. We all got together, ate wonderfully, and didn't miss a single day of class. And yes, my teacher told me I had the body of a bullfighter," he says, bursts into laughter, and, so we don't think it's just a simple promotional trick (which it is too), he promises at the end of the interview to show the video.

The person speaking, to put us in context, is not only the new Captain America (also Falcon), with all that it implies in a real and figurative sense; he is also the one tasked with embodying the first mainstream black superhero who jumped into comics (second after Black Panther in the absolute ranking). And if that weren't enough responsibility, on his shoulders lies the heavy task of rebuilding the Marvel cinematic Universe from its ashes. After a series of undeniable failures, the new movie premiering on February 14, Captain America: Brave New World (meaning Brave New World, in reference to Aldous Huxley's novel), is here to restore a record-breaking saga to the lost privilege of, indeed, the box office. You know, power, responsibility, and... olé!

And having said that, he fulfills his promise, pulls out his iPhone, and there it is... dancing flamenco. "The one in the foreground is my friend's mother," he says and bursts into laughter.
