David Harris, the actor known for his role as Cochise in the cult movie 'The Warriors', has died at the age of 75.

Harris passed away last Friday at his home in New York after battling cancer, as reported by his daughter to the New York Times.

In 'The Warriors: los amos de la noche,' Harris portrayed Cochise, one of the members of the eponymous red-vested gang. It was the most significant role of his career.

Based on Sol Yurick's 1965 novel of the same name, the film directed by Walter Hill tells the story of a New York gang accused of murder who decides to travel from the Bronx to Coney Island.

Harris's character, Cochise, stood out from the others due to his unique fashion style, which included a headband and a large turquoise necklace as a sign of rebellion.

The film was criticized upon its original release in 1979, but eventually achieved the status of a cult movie.
