He is Great Britain's first Olympic diving champion, winning gold and silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze in Tokyo 2020, but Jack Laugher (29) has admitted to turning to OnlyFans to fund his sports career. His country's government pays him 32,000 euros annually "a good and very dignified salary to live, but it is not the sports salary that you normally imagine," he confessed to the British newspaper Daily Mail.
In order to cover a large part of the expenses involved in training and travel, the young athlete decided to open an account on the subscription platform where he posts lightly clothed photos, but without getting naked. That has been a premise he has been clear about from the beginning. However, there are plenty of selfieswith socks protecting the intimate parts, showers in underwear, some strategically placed sinks to avoid showing too much...
In various British media, he stated shortly before traveling to Paris that "like in most Olympic sports, there isn't much money in diving. I will do whatever it takes to earn some extra money." Someone close to the British team leaked that "these guys train very hard and have little time to earn money outside the pool."
The parents of the Olympic swimmer, David and Jackie, have supported their son's decision from the beginning. At 7 years old, he started his interest in diving after visiting a large pool near his home, and at 14, he fractured the upper part of his arm while jumping on the diving board, so a metal plate was inserted to keep the humerus together.
Since 2017, he has been in a relationship with swimmer Lois Toulson (24). Laugher has stated on numerous occasions that he supports the LGBTIQ+ community: "I have many gay friends from school and people I met through diving. Everyone should feel comfortable being gay." Notably, Tom Daley (30), the Olympic flag bearer for the British delegation, came out in 2014. Three years later, he married Dustin Lance Black (50), the Oscar-winning writer for Best Original Screenplay for Milk (2008). The couple had their first child six years ago.
There are other British divers who also have an OnlyFans account, such as three-meter specialist Matty Lee (26), Robbie Lee (19) -specializing in ten-meter platform diving- and synchronized swimming champion Daniel Goodfellow (27).
