It has been 10 consecutive years holding the title of the best water park in the world. 10 years! And the winner is none other than Siam Park in Costa Adeje , located in the south of Tenerife . Opened in 2008, the Spanish complex has just been chosen as the winner in the latest edition of the Traveler's Choice Awards from TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel portal, which reviews the international tourism sector.

Among the reasons cited for choosing Siam Park is its recreation of the ancient Thai kingdom from which it takes its name, with all kinds of water experiences to enjoy in the over 85,000 square meters it occupies. Inside, there is everything: thrilling slides, pools of all sizes and shapes (including the most tremendous artificial wave pools in the world), giant donuts to slide through, exotic forests, winding rivers...

With this new recognition, the Tenerife complex, which has received 14 million visitors since 2008, solidifies its position as the most awarded water park on the planet, as it is also the number one in competitions such as the European Star Award or the Park World Excellence Award. Additionally, many of its attractions have been awarded on other occasions such as Singha, Kinnaree, or The Dragon.

TripAdvisor's officials take into account the absence of safety issues, proper management of the facilities, customer service, and transparency in the published reviews on the Internet, ensuring that companies applying for the awards cannot manipulate them. The spectacularity of the attractions, park maintenance, and vegetation are also analyzed.

Siam Park has received the highest score in the past year from water park users on the online platform, consulted by over 460 million travelers each month, with nearly a billion reviews. To determine these awards, TripAdvisor uses an algorithm that includes both the quantity and quality of these reviews.

As for the organization of the so-called Water Kingdom, it is divided into three areas: Relax, Family, and Adrenaline. In the first one, the idea is to disconnect in this water oasis with perfect weather all year round. One can do so by sailing aboard the Mai Thai River, a tropical river one kilometer long, or at Siam Beach, a beach with natural sand ideal for sunbathing or swimming in its wave pool. There is also the Floating Market, which allows travelers to experience a typical Thai village. Those who want to enjoy the sea lion pool also have the option.

Then there is the family area, with experiences such as a series of slides for a race on Naga Racer or the Snake Jungle, with water tubes and floaters. Also not to be missed is the children's playground of The Lost City, which includes the only baby pool in the Canary Islands. The largest artificial wave on the planet (three meters) is found at the Wave Palace, a pool of over 13,500 square meters. And those who want to relax on a beach with sand brought from Africa have Coco Beach.

As for the Adrenaline zone, visitors can experience firsthand the sensations produced by the Tower of Power and its 28-meter high slide, Singha, as well as other state-of-the-art adventures. Like Vulcano, an attraction where you descend in the dark, or the Mekong and Patong rapids, with their giant tires.

Additionally, those who visit this summer can enjoy the largest nighttime entertainment show in Tenerife. Thus, until August 31 (from Tuesdays to Saturdays and from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.), there will be live music and DJ performances at the Moonlight Water Kingdom.
