Raphael announced this Wednesday his return to normal musical activity starting on June 15, when he will perform a concert in Mérida, only four months after his hospitalization due to a brain lymphoma.

"With immense excitement, today I can announce that on June 15, I will resume my schedule. I want to give back to you, in the form of songs, all the love you have given me during this time," the artist wrote on his Instagram account.

In his message, he also stated "with enormous emotion" that he is "feeling very well and deeply grateful", starting with his family, "an essential pillar for their unconditional love."

"(Thank you) to all the public health system, for taking care of me with exemplary dedication, professionalism, and humanity," adds Raphael, who specifically greeted the hospitals where he was treated, the Hospital 12 de Octubre and the Clínico San Carlos.

To his friends, colleagues, media, and his audience, he extends the following thanks, "for so much affection," but also "for every message, every thought, and for being there even from a distance."

"You have made me feel very accompanied and loved", highlighted the artist in a message that concludes with "I love you all very much!"

His hospitalization occurred on December 18, after feeling unwell - he had speech difficulties - during the recording of the program La Revuelta on Spanish Television.

After ruling out a stroke following initial tests, the artist was hospitalized for ten days in two different medical centers where a primary brain lymphoma with two brain nodules in the left hemisphere was detected, which "justify the neurological symptoms" he presented.

After his discharge, it was reported that Raphael, who is 81 years old currently, had started receiving specific treatment for this condition and would continue to do so on an outpatient basis.

Due to this, the concerts he had scheduled for the first months of 2025 in the United States, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and Mexico were canceled, as were the two special concerts he was supposed to hold in Madrid on December 20 and 21.

Now Raphael will resume his normal schedule, as confirmed by his management agency, with concerts such as the one at the Teatro Romano de Mérida as part of the Stone & Music series, as well as other events like the Starlite Occiedent festival in Marbella on July 5 or the Concert Music Festival in Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz) on July 12.

The other dates currently listed on his website include Córdoba (September 20, bullring), Murcia (October 4, bullring), San Sebastián (October 11, Kursaal), Palma de Mallorca (October 24 and 25, Auditorium), Bilbao (November 29 and 30, Palacio Euskalduna), and Granada (December 13, Palacio de Deportes).
