There was a time when happiness reigned. Georgina Chapman (48), co-founder of the Marchesa brand, had a glamorous life with her husband Harvey Weinstein (72), the influential Miramax producer who controlled the industry by sowing terror, although this would not be revealed until years later. Unbeknownst to her, he forced numerous actresses to wear Chapman's designs to promote them. For the couple, mingling with the biggest stars of recent decades and having access to unimaginable luxuries was routine. They have two daughters, India (14) and Dashiell (11).

Adrien Brody (51) had Hollywood prestige as the youngest to win an Oscar for Best Actor for The Pianist (2002) at just 29. In terms of relationships, he was seen on red carpets with Elsa Pataky (2006-2009), then with January Jones (2010), and later with Russian model Lara Lieto (2012-2018).

In 2017, The New York Times and The New Yorker reported statements from nearly a hundred women who claimed to have experienced some form of sexual harassment and assault in their harsh acting careers. For a while, Georgina remained silent, but a few months later she discovered she had married a monster. They separated in the fall of 2017. They had married in 2006 and divorced in 2021.

Georgina and Adrien already knew each other. Therefore, when former top model Helena Christensen (56) invited them to Puerto Rico for the runway show of her swimwear line, unintentionally acting as a matchmaker. It was at the Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton Reserve hotel where they were captured by a paparazzi. According to Page Six, in April 2019, they were seen facing each other at a candlelit dinner with friends. Rumors of a relationship began to surface, but it seemed that it was not the right time for the designer due to her family trauma.

In February 2020, someone close to the couple mentioned that they were in a relationship and saw each other whenever their respective commitments allowed. "She thinks he is unusual and interesting," said the source, as "she finds him an interesting person with a deep passion for his work similar to hers." Gradually, Adrien became her shoulder to cry on, comforting her, and they would talk until the early hours of the morning to vent. Georgina was what she needed most. Someone who wouldn't judge her.

While Cupid played his tricks, Weinstein ended up in purgatory. Despite the billionaire producer hiring the Israeli intelligence agency Black Cube to stop publications about his depraved acts and even daring to seek help from Woody Allen, whom he had produced his latest films and who has been under scrutiny for years due to sexual abuse allegations, he did not achieve his goal. To make matters worse, Ronan Farrow (37), son of Mia Farrow (80) and the director of Annie Hall (1977), had provided crucial information to lock him up.

All the speculations surrounding the couple faded when they officially confirmed their relationship in June 2021 on the red carpet of the Tribeca Film Festival, founded by Robert De Niro, where the actor was promoting Clean. It was pandemic times, and everything had changed, not just hearts. That's why Adrien and Georgina appeared at the Met Gala in September of that same year, when the New York event takes place on the first Monday of May. They exuded complicity. They also attended the gala organized by Anna Wintour (75) in 2022 and 2024.

From the start, the businesswoman and designer strongly supported her boyfriend's career. In July 2021, they attended the premiere of The French Dispatch at the Cannes International Film Festival, and in September 2022, they were seen again at the Venice Film Festival for the presentation of Blonde, starring Ana de Armas and produced by Brad Pitt. The ovation lasted 14 minutes due to its success. In an interview with Vogue, Chapman stated that "it was an incredible moment to witness."

Their mutual support is evident. After being away from acting for a while, Brody stated in Vulture that "she helped me realize that it would be a loss to let frustrations interfere with my goal of pursuing what I am meant to do with an open heart." He achieved this with The Brutalist. In his acceptance speech, he said the following: "I share this with my incredible partner, Georgina, who has not only revitalized my self-esteem but my sense of worth and principles. And her precious children Dashiell and India, I know this has been a rollercoaster, but thank you for accepting me into your lives. Popsy (Dad in colloquial English) is coming home as a winner."

Sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape and criminal sexual act since 2020, Harvey Weinstein sent a statement after hearing the Hollywood star's words. His representative sent it: "Harvey is happy for Georgina and deeply grateful that their children are receiving the love and care they deserve."
