Kanye West and Bianca Censori have broken up just 11 days after their controversial appearance on the Grammy red carpet where she posed naked and he was fully dressed in black with sunglasses.
As a source close to the rapper told the Daily Mail, the couple had agreed that she would receive a five million dollar compensation after the short-lived marriage that began in December 2022. Additionally, a source with direct knowledge confirmed to the TMZ portal that both parties have contacted divorce lawyers.
That same source, close to the 47-year-old rapper, confirmed that the couple has already separated and will file the legal documentation to end the marriage in the coming days. Censori, 30, has been seen at the Beverly Park North mansion in Los Angeles that she shared with West, a $35 million property. The rapper's whereabouts are unknown, but some claim he could even return to Tokyo, Japan, where he spent much of last year living in a hotel.
The latest edition of the Grammys will be remembered for the scandal of the marriage on the red carpet. As soon as they stood in front of the photographers, Kim Kardashian's ex (44), dressed in black pants and shirt, boots of the same color, and hiding his eyes behind sunglasses that accentuated his serious expression, stared at his wife. He immediately told her: "Make a scene now." This was revealed to the Daily Mail by lip-reading specialist Jeremy Freeman.
The Australian architect wore an extravagant black fur coat and as soon as she turned her back, she took it off to reveal a transparent dress that left her completely naked. The lip-reading expert claims that the musician ordered her: "Then turn around, I'm here." Due to the ceremony's decorum rules, both were expelled. The rapper, a winner of 24 Grammys to date, seemed unfazed.
This staging had the desired effects as his name became the most searched in the world, with his wife's appearance emulating the cover of the album Vultures 1 released last year, capturing media attention. Shortly after, on his Instagram account, he boasted by writing: "Custom-made haute couture dress for the most beautiful woman in the world. My love, my best friend, my wife." She did not object at any time.
This controversy was followed by another: the talent agency 33 & West removed the singer, now known as Ye, from the list of artists they represent after a series of antisemitic comments.
This event took place days after West made a series of posts on X with messages of hatred towards the Jewish community, proclaimed himself as a Nazi, and justified control over his partner's clothing.
The rapper continued to fuel the controversy when he premiered an ad during the Super Bowl, one of the most media-covered events, promoting the sale of a T-shirt with a swastika (at $20 each).
According to the New York Post, this marked a turning point for Censori. "She has had more than enough," the newspaper wrote, citing a source.
"The T-shirt with the swastika was the last straw. She told him that's not who she is, and she cannot be associated with that."
"She doesn't want to be part of that circus. He thinks she will come back, saying she's just 'angry,' but she already told him it's over."
On the other hand, The Hollywood Reporter quoted Milo Yiannopolous, an extreme right-wing agitator whom the publication described as a spokesperson and representative of the couple, denying the separation.
"Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine's Day together. Announcements about their private life will come directly from them, not from unfounded rumors in tabloids," he told the media.
Their spokesperson complained about the unfounded news that puts them in the spotlight. "Is this the fifth or sixth time the press has erroneously reported that Ye and Bianca are separating? I've lost count," he said.
