The Disney star who was close to losing an eye due to a pellet shot: "I am very grateful to still be alive"

Actress Christy Carlson Romano, known for Kim Possible or Even Stevens, among other Disney Channel productions, has revealed being shot in the face while clay pigeon shooting with her husband. Carlson was hit by five pellets, with one of them almost causing her to lose an eye.

In fact, as shown in a video, the hole caused by the sports projectile can be seen on her face, just below her left eye.

The Disney Channel star was celebrating her birthday at a Texas shooting range when "someone shot in our direction and hit me in the face. I was shot in the eye. It wasn't fun, but I'm okay," she said.

Romano explained that the pellet is still lodged near her eye, causing a bruise on her face, along with other "fragments" scattered. It is too risky to surgically remove it, and I can see well", she explained why she hasn't undergone surgery yet.

The actress mentioned that she had a rough night. "Everything is clear now," she said. "I was shot in the face and I am alive to tell the tale". She also thanked the people who assisted her at the time of the accident. "I am very grateful to the emergency. They are superheroes and take care of us when we are most desperate".

Romano expressed her emotions and told her followers that the important thing is to live life. "I am very grateful to be able to live". The pellets hit her in five different spots. One of them was "an inch" away from her eye.

Finally, the Disney star mentioned that she is very close to her fans. "You have been a great support. Your positivity has been very important. I feel the support and I give it back to you".
