The phenomenon Taylor Swift seems to have no end. After the worldwide frenzy with her The Eras Tour, the American singer continues to add successes to her list. For the second consecutive year, she is once again the most listened artist in the world, according to Spotify's ranking, thanks to her album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, which has also become the one with the highest number of listeners on the platform.
But precisely in that top 10 of albums, Swift has managed to place three: the aforementioned The Tortured Poets Department at the top, 1989 in third place, and Lover in eighth place. Thus confirming the artist as the biggest star in the global music scene. Although she is not the one leading the list of the most listened songs because that peak has been reached by Sabrina Carpenter with her hit Espresso.
Following Taylor Swift, in the second position of the most listened on the platform, is The Weeknd with Bad Bunny behind. The top 10 is completed by Drake, Billie Eilish, Travis Scott, Peso Pluma, Kanye West, Ariana Grande, and Feid. With up to three names from the Latin music scene among the most listened of the year, a music genre that has also managed to place Karol G's album Mañana será bonito in the fourth position of that ranking.
It is precisely Latin music that dominates what is most listened in Spain with up to eight singers born in the American continent among the most listened, with Saiko surpassing Quevedo as the most listened Spanish artist, both in the urban genre. However, for the first time in the last four years, Bad Bunny is not at the top of the ranking, being dethroned by his compatriot Myke Towers. Feid has climbed to the third position, sharing presence both globally and nationally.
In a list dominated by male artists, Karol G is the only woman who appears in the top in eighth position, making her the female artist with the most listeners in our country, also having the most listened song within our borders with the summer hit Si antes te hubiera conocido and the album with the most listeners with Mañana será bonito. In this gender differentiation, Taylor Swift is also the second most listened female singer in Spain, followed by Lola Índigo and Bad Gyal in third and fourth position.
Outside the borders of our country, Rels B, who has just announced a world tour, is the Spanish artist with the most listens, followed by Quevedo, whose album has just been released and dominates the Top 50 of Spotify at the moment, and Rosalía, who has barely released some collaborations this year like the latest one with Ralphie Choo. In fourth place is Enrique Iglesias, and the fifth position goes to Morad.
