The death of Chad McQueen at the age of 63 brings to light that the families of great stars are not devoid of tragedies. The Barrymores take the cake, where drugs, alcohol, and legal issues were a constant. In the case of the McQueens, it has been more of a matter of fate.

In 1980, he passed away from lung cancer at only 50 years old Steve McQueen, one of the toughest and most attractive guys in the history of cinema. Passionate about motorcycles and with a sex appeal worthy of the great seducers of the golden age of Hollywood, his love affairs are legendary. One of his lovers was Lita Trujillo, daughter-in-law of dictator Rafael Trujillo and former partner of Jaime Ostos settled in Madrid for six decades.

His first wife, Neile Adams (92) - mother of his only two children, Terry and Chad - not only had to deal with infidelities, but also with the explosive character of the actor. A traumatic childhood and cocaine use made him a ticking bomb. Neile is the only surviving member of the family, she stays away from public scrutiny, and, to the surprise of many, is related to Isabel Preysler (73) maternally, the Arrastia family. In other words, José Arrastia y Salgado is the socialite's grandfather and Neile's father.

Steve McQueen has left a film legacy adored by millions of fans such as The Magnificent Seven (1960) and The Great Escape (1963) or Papillon (1973).

The star had a passion for his children. Terry was the first born in 1959. Growing up immersed in the film culture since childhood led her to also pursue that path. At the time of her death in 1998 at the age of 38 due to respiratory failure, she was working as a director at a film production company in Malibu. She had a daughter, Molly, who was 10 years old at the time.

Unfortunately, Terry faced serious health issues as she suffered from liver failure due to the cumulative effect of prescribed painkillers for this organ weakened by years of hemochromatosis and pancreatitis. Shortly before her death, she underwent a liver transplant from which she had recovered satisfactorily.
