Beads conquer sweaters, skirts and tops for Christmas
In Prada's autumn, the sun never sets. It shines, even when the sky is overcast, on sequins and beads embroidered on suede, tulle and wool. Miu Miu, its little, nerdy sister, follows its example. From the catwalks of the Italian house, the dresses, tube and tulle, are inspired by the 1920s and the jumpers, with pearls on mohair, look back to the 1950s. They do not demand exclusivity from heels or claim the presence of organza. A sequined jumper goes with a pair of jeans and a beaded skirt coexists with a wool vest. Free will makes iridescent beads roll all over the wardrobe. This season, it resists the grey of the street and, on all fabrics, is infected by the Christmas lights to be present at all social gatherings
